Building a Haven: Our Duplex Capital Campaign
Every survivor deserves a safe place to land. Today, Monarch Safehaven is launching a capital campaign to purchase our very first duplex—a crucial milestone in our mission to support survivors of trauma, abuse, and addiction. We invite you to partner with us in making this vision a reality.
Why a duplex? This specific type of home provides the perfect balance of independence and community.
Side-by-Side Support: It allows our dedicated mentors or Guardian Home Leaders to live in one unit while providing a safe, semi-independent living space for residents right next door.
Community Integration: Instead of an isolated facility, this home places our residents directly into a healthy, thriving neighborhood.
Life Skills in Action: It serves as a hands-on environment where individuals can learn to manage a household, build community, and transition confidently into their future.
Building New Abilities, One Skill at a Time
We believe that true healing comes from reclaiming a sense of purpose and self-worth. Our programs are centered on practical, hands-on activities that foster new abilities and a confident spirit within a real-world setting.
Life Skills & Home Stewardship: The host home itself becomes a classroom. Through hands-on daily tasks like budgeting, meal preparation, and household management, residents learn discipline, responsibility, and the satisfaction of building a stable life.
Community Educational Partnerships: Rather than an isolated facility, we connect residents with established local educational institutions and vocational training programs. From completing high school diplomas to gaining professional certifications, we leverage our community network to provide the resources residents need to achieve their goals.
Health & Wellness: A Holistic Approach
True empowerment encompasses both mental and physical well-being. Our community-integrated model ensures that every individual receives comprehensive care by connecting them with trusted local resources.
Fitness & Community Wellness: We partner with local gyms, parks, and wellness centers to offer opportunities for physical fitness and stress reduction. This approach not only helps residents rebuild their physical strength but also encourages healthy community integration.
